Topic “Applied business research: culture as knowledge for international business”
Nigel Holden has been professor of cross-cultural management at university business schools in the UK, Germany and Denmark. Since 2011 he has been a Visiting Research Fellow at Leeds University Business School in the UK. He has published articles, books and book chapters on cross-cultural management with reference to the global knowledge economy, language and translation in international business, global talent management, and business history. His work on language and international was featured in a special issue of the Journal of International Business in 2014 and he was senior academic editor of the Routledge Companion to Cross-Cultural Management which appeared in 2015. Most recently Nigel has been a visiting professor at the University of Regensburg in Germany and has lectured on language and business history at the University of Munich also in Germany. On the occasion of ICABR 2016 he resumes – with great pleasure - his relationship with Kasetsart University and with KIMBA.

Dr.SomJai Phagaphasvivat is a specialist in Southeast Asian Countries. He holds Bachelor degree from Chulalongkorn, Master degree in Economic Integration from Universite de Nancy, France and Doctoral degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. He has wide range of working experiences which include Advisor to the ESCAP, the United Nations, Advisor to the Securities Exchange of Thailand, Vice-Rector for Development Planning, Thammasat University, Senator, Thai Parliament, and Eminent person of FEALAC Vision Group (Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation). In addition, he is visiting Professor in several universities in Thailand.
